About the Cottage

Split Rock Croft Cottage is now open for bookings from 18th November 2017 - Please contact me for availability.

This perfectly formed cottage is ideal for your short break or longer holiday in the stunning Scottish Highlands.

The cottage itself is a completely self-contained wing of the Split Rock Croft House. You have your own front door, large twin aspect bedroom, well-equipped kitchen and twin aspect lounge/diner with double sofa bed.

Stunning views from the warm and cosy lounge and bedroom make this the best place to witness everything that the highland weather can throw at you, from sunning yourself on a glorious day on the terrace to cosy evenings in by the log burner, and it is the ideal place to return to from your days out.

Super King size bed (or twin) in the bedroom and large double sofa bed in the lounge means that the cottage can accommodate 2-4 people comfortably.

Front door leading to the entrance hall; stairs to first-floor bedroom and shower room and further door from the entrance hall leading to lounge/diner and kitchen. The Cottage is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave and cooker. Stunning views from the lounge and bedroom across the Croft and to the north Atlantic.

We can recommend days out, walks, sea fishing, things to see and do and also advise on restaurants and bars. You are welcome to join in with our daily crofting activities if you wish, feeding and watering our various livestock, collecting eggs etc.

The Cottage is remote and we are 6 miles from Lochinver where you will find shops and restaurants. Walking boots/wellies are an essential part of life on the Croft!

We have a licenced shop in Clachtoll selling many of the basics, fresh coffee, beer and wine, ice creams, home baking and the absolute best bacon rolls!

Some excellent (and even 2 Michelin Starred) restaurants in Lochinver and a taxi service to get you to and from if you need it. Two licenced grocery stores offering all the essentials can also be found in Lochinver.
